We’re at the Jersey Shore, savoring kosher pizza on the beach, specifically in Long Branch, New Jersey. This is no ordinary stop; it’s Pepe Kitchen, nestled on the boardwalk amidst a complex of kosher establishments.
We started with the cheese sticks, crispy on the outside with a fresh garlic brush that filled the air. It’s kosher Italian at its finest, proving simplicity triumphs in flavor. Followed by the margarita pizza which nails the basics with its balance of dough and other ingredients. It is perfectly executed, kosher, and classic on the shore, making the beach experience truly awesome.
Next up, pappardelle – wide, comforting pasta topped with creamy mushrooms. Every bite is a chewy delight, showcasing perfection.
We also ate Cacio e Pepe, a classic pasta dish made with parmesan and black pepper.
Then the branzino, even if you’re not into fish, this dish is fresh and flavorful.
Pepe Kitchen is a go-to for kosher food enthusiasts. Smack on the water, surrounded by kosher eateries, it’s perfect for a kosher-keeping foodie at the shore. It is under the supervision of Jersey Shore Orthodox Rabbinate (JSOR). Watch the video to the end to find out more.
