We went down south to San Diego and found a chill, Israeli kind of vibe in a spot called Hamitbach. Hamitbach means “the kitchen,” and this place is all about Israeli street food.
First up, we had the shawarma in laffa, followed by the steak b’pita. Next, was the batata – a savory yam sweet potato with tehina and chimichurri. Savory batata is one of CW’s favorite things to eat in the world. Then we wrapped it up with the Salachat, which means plate. It’s got all the elements, the full salad bar.
The atmosphere in Hamitbach had a friendly chill California vibe and they’re certified kosher by Vaad Harabanim.
Whether you’re looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy authentic Israeli street food or simply want to explore new flavors, Hamitbach Street Kitchen has something for everyone. This spot delivers a fusion of culture and cuisine that’s truly unforgettable.
