CW: I think I’m starting to like Dallas. It’s like warm, it’s spread out. There’s a lot going on. It’s a strip mall on every block. This joint is called Fino. Kosher Dallas.
Fino is a joint here in Dallas. What they serve in Fino, there’s a couple of names for it. Here it’s called Fino Fries. In Montreal, where Mr. Fino is from, it’s called Poutine. Really good hand cut fries. They’ve take a mix of mozzarella and some other cheeses. Then you pour hot gravy on it and it melts all the curds. Good stuff.
So one of the things we like to point out and applaud to is when we go to a place and they give it a shot with faux meats. You can go to any classic Italian pizza joint and this is gonna be on the menu. This is a meatball hoagie. Yo, it’s Texas, hot sauce. Alright.
I’m drinking my milkshake. I drink it all up.
Meat Lovers Pizza. It’s got the “chik’n”, you know. It’s got the “sawsage”. They all have funny names ’cause they’re faux so they can’t have the same name. Chikn. Alright, Meat Lovers is all the meats and peppers and mushrooms. Meat Lovers Pizza.
You know what? New Yorkers are gonna be like, “this is not pizza”. No, this is not a New York style pizza. No, this is like a nice cracker crust. There’s something to be said really about the texture of a “meat” lovers pizza having the texture of a meat lovers pizza. It makes sense, you know what I mean? It’s just all there.
You know I like a fried dough cinnamony mini thingy. Here they got cinnamon dough balls. It’s a fried dough cinnamony mini thing. If there’s any state in this country I trust more with a fried dough cinnamony mini thing, it’s the State of Texas. The chocolate syrup and the cinnamon are fantastic, by the way. You know what this is? A really good friend dough cinnamony mini thingy.
If you come to Dallas, have a great time. There are five, six, seven, eight options. I don’t know. There’s a bunch of options.
We’re having a good time in Dallas. This is Fino. More than just great pizza. Creating a menu that’s right for you. Fino Dallas, lets get social. I’m just reading the stuff on the walls.
